With Memorial Day marking the unofficial start of summer, the season of sunshine, road trips, and new adventures officially begins. Longarm Quilting Appointments

Please make an appointment (sign up online) to drop off your quilt top for longarm quilting services. This ensures that your quilt is completed in a timely manner and also that you will have time for a consultation about your quilt pattern and thread color.

Beginner Kids Sewing Camp August 4-7, 9am-Noon

This camp is perfect for the brand-new sewer with little or no experience! If your child has their own machine, it's a great time to learn how to use it. If not, no worries—Sewlovelee has machines available to rent.In this fun and educational course, students will learn the basics of quilting, including seam allowance, piecing, and adding borders. They'll create a small quilt from a panel and make a cozy reading pillow—perfect for curling up with their favorite storybook. Plus, they'll sew a small patchwork tote to carry it all in! It's a great introduction to sewing that builds confidence and creativity. Best suited for ages 8-15. Sign up here.

Annapolis Quilt Guild hosts their annual Quilts By the Bay Quilt Show at Riva Trace Baptist Church in Davidsonville, MD on June 13th and 14th from 10am-4pm.

July 1– All Mid-Atlantic Shop Hop begins

The All Mid-Atlantic Shop Hop officially starts on Tuesday, July 1st and lasts through the end of August. Pick up the magazine and the exclusive AMASH fabric and start hoppin’!

Historic Christ Church & Museum and Sewlovelee are featuring the art of NNK quilters July 1-7 at the Celebrating Our Independence Quilt Show.

This joint celebration combines art and history. Quilters are asked to exhibit their red, white, and blue quilts which tell the stories of our independence from Britain, our history since the American Revolution, and the future of the United States.

The quilts will also serve as the backdrop of Christ Church's annual reading of the Declaration of Independence. The reading is a patriotic celebration and is in partnership with the Cobbs Hall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Richard Henry Lee Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

There is no fee to enter a quilt into the show. Learn more about entering the show.
