Getting ready for the new year

The holidays are winding down and in between family visits, I've been trying to get myself and my stash organized.
First thing I've done is the follow Augusta Cole's tip for stripping all of my scraps. Every little bit of fabric is precious, but I start with the biggest piece I can get out of it:

4.5" strips
2.5" strips
1.5" strips
5" squares
2.5" squares

I have separate bins for each of the different sized strips and pieces. That way when I'm ready to sew, so is my fabric!
I'll share with you some of stash busting techniques during the new year, and the Sewlovelee theme for 2016 is "You've got it, now use it!" Take those rulers out of the plastic wraps and use your stash fabric (that way you get to buy more new fabric!)
